George Raymond Payne, M.D.
A Virginia native, Dr. Payne is a University of Richmond undergraduate and received his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He then completed an orthopaedic fellowship in total joint replacement at one of the nation's leading joint replacement centers, the Rothman Institute and Thomas Jefferson University. His expertise is in the prevention and treatment of joint disorders. He also specializes in total joint replacement of the knee, hip, and shoulder and is Director of The Center for Joint Replacement. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
