John J. Schaffer, M.D. and Wilford K. Gibson, M.D. of Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists have been selected as "Top Docs 2008" in the July/August 2008 issue of Hampton Roads Magazine. Dr. Schaffer specializes in Sports Medicine and is a team physician for the Norfolk Tides and Old Dominion University. Dr. Gibson also specializes in Sports Medicine and currently serves on the Board of Councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. The "Top Docs 2008" listing was compiled from surveys sent out to 4000 licensed physicians practicing throughout the Hampton Roads area.
