On Saturday, October 20th Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists and Eastern Virginia Medical School hosted a Continuing Medical Education program entitled "Orthopaedics for the Primary Care Physician: Current Concepts in the Evaluation and Treatment of Spinal Pain". The conference was held at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Virginia Beach from 8:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. and offered participants 4 AMA PRA Category 1 credits in CME. Physicians from throughout the Hampton Roads area gathered to hear presentations on Spinal Pain Evaluation, Non-operative/Operative Care of the Patient with Lumbar and Cervical Pain, select case presentations and a panel discussion. Faculty for the program included Drs. Donald A. O'Neill, J. Abbott Byrd, III, Timothy E. Budorick, David M. Clifford, and JoAnn W. Dervay all physicians with AOS. Robert M. Finch, M.S., P.T, Cert. MDT all from AOS Physical Therapy rounded out the program by giving a talk entitled "Physical Therapy in the Treatment of Spinal Pain".
